Crystalline Blue Vase Small (sold)

This is a beautiful vibrant blue porcelain vessel made using the artist’s innovative proprietary crystal glazes. These unique glazes are created by incorporating oxides and crystals, which never react quite the same way and allow for endless variations. The vase’s traditional shape and proportions enables the colourful and luminescent patterns created by the glazes to take center stage.

In this piece, the vibrant blue and jade green hues of the glaze overlap, creating strange and organic shapes, as if moss or barnacles had begun to grow on the surface of the vase. A ceramicist based in Prague, Milan’s work has been widely exhibited internationally, and is included in several major collections including, for example, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague and the Grassi museum Leipzig.
